NARAST accredits bodies that demonstrate competence to audit and certify organizations in accordance with the standards of the management system.
Accreditation by NARAST guarantees the impartiality and competence of the certifying body and promotes trust and acceptance of certifications by end users in the public and private sectors.

NARAST is an accreditation body that works in compliance with the guidelines and requirements of the main regulatory bodies worldwide. For political reasons and to avoid any conflict of interest, NARAST follows the guidelines but does not consider it relevant to associate with any entity, to avoid fees that do not actually add anything to the processes of its accredited certifiers.
Some entities in which NARAST uses its guidelines in its accreditation processes:
NARAST has an independent committee formed by the organizations:
Council of American Development Industries, Association of Canadian Development Agencies, Councils of Laboratories of America and volunteer professionals working in management systems.
